Buy Tickets now online
A $1.50 surcharge per ticket will apply for all tickets purchased online. Online sales close 1 hour before the performance.

To make a reservation over the phone please call the Box Office at (301) 634-2270.
A $2 surcharge per ticket will apply for all tickets purchased over the phone.

We highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance. Most performances sell out in advance.

Sat and Sun 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (only open weekends with shows)

Ticket Prices
Tickets for Babe, the Sheep Pig are $12 for everyone ages one year + surcharges.
Group Rates Available ($8-11). Visa/MasterCard Accepted.

 

 

Directions to Adventure Theatre

From the Beltway (495):
Take the River Road Exit toward DC.
At the 5th light take a right onto Goldsboro Rd.
Goldsboro dead ends into MacArthur Blvd. at a small traffic circle. Take a right onto MacArthur Blvd. Take a left at the first street which is Oxford Road. Follow signs to the parking lot for Glen Echo Park and Clara Barton National Historic Site.

From the parking lot:
With small children, please allow 10 minutes to walk through the park to the theatre. Go over the wooden foot bridge that leads into the park. Follow the path up to the Carousel. Adventure Theatre is to the left of the Carousel under the red towers.

From Washington DC:
Take Massachusetts Avenue until it dead ends at Goldsboro Road. Take a left onto Goldsboro Road. Goldsboro dead ends into MacArthur Blvd. at a small traffic circle. Take a right onto MacArthur Blvd. Take a left at the first street which is Oxford Road. Follow signs to the parking lot for Glen Echo Park and Clara Barton National Historic Site.

From the parking lot:

From the Metro
Take the Red Line to the Friendship Heights stop. Take the 29 Ride-On Bus to the Glen Echo Park stop. Walk into the park. Adventure Theatre is to the left of the Carousel under the red towers.

Parking - it's free!

Main Parking Lot:
The main parking lot is located off MacArthuf Blvd on Oxford Road. With small children, please allow 10 minutes to walk through the park to the theatre.
Go over the wooden foot bridge that leads into the park. Follow the path up to the Carousel. Adventure Theatre is to the left of the Carousel under the red towers.

Handicapped Parking:
Handicapped parking spaces are available for those with proper tags. From the main parking lot, take a right on MacArthur Blvd. After the traffic circle, take a right into the permit only parking lot. Drive through the gravel lot. Spaces are located just past the trolley car.

The Dentzel Carousel

The historic Glen Echo Park Dentzel Carousel is in its 88th year. Celebrate with us by taking a ride on the hand woodcarved animals from 1920's.

Inclement Weather Policy

Adventure Theatre performances are cancelled if Glen Echo Park is cancelled due to inclement weather. Please call the 24-hour Park Closing Hotline at 301-320-2330 to learn the status of events. The recording is updated at 7 am for daytime activities and by 3 pm for evening events. You may also call 301-634-2222 and press 9 for park closing information. Tickets can be rescheduled.
