| In
September 2007, Adventure
Theatre moved back into its newly-renovated
theatre, and everything
is shiny and new. We are all very excited!!
We couldn’t have done it without
the generous support of our friends in the
community, and we thank you!!
This is an exhilarating time for all of
us at Adventure Theatre as we move forward
with a new season – our 56th season
of continuous operation – and new
programs to bring the thrill of live theatre
to more children and families and school
groups.
What’s
new?
• Adventure Theatre has created a
new company of resident artists, bringing
together a core group of actors, directors
and designers to enhance the quality of
our performances.
• We are expanding our performance
offerings this year with several weekday
show times for each of the mainstage weekend
plays.
• We have remounted our weekday play
about Clara Barton to make it more interactive
and energetic and are making it available
to more schools in Montgomery County, Washington,
D.C. and northern Virginia.

•
We have a new collaboration with Tribute Productions
to produce the play Goodnight Moon, which
will be performed on stage at Adventure Theatre
and also at the Atlas Performing Arts Center
in Washington.
• We have new partnerships with the
D.C. Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative,
the Helen Hayes Legacy Project, and the National
Center for Children and Families – each
of them designed to give more youngsters access
to live theatrical performances.
Our plans for
making Adventure Theatre the most entertaining
and enriching theatre for young people in
the region come at a cost. And this is where
we turn to you, our friends and supporters,
to help us as we enhance and expand our
productions and programs.
Please consider
making a generous contribution to our Annual
Fund and help Adventure Theatre start off
on a strong footing in our renovated building.
We are grateful for your support.
